Good morning! And welcome back for Meg & J Part II !!
The second day was the traditional Hindu ceremony, and it was all things color, light, heart and high energy! The weather forecast that day had called for thunderstorms ALL day. And right when the ceremony was supposed to be, it was predicting the chance to be at a high of 70 or 80%. But those odds didn't have anything on Meg & J, because the rain never came. It held off all day...as if even the weather itself knew, nothing could ruin this day.
Meg & J have so much love between them that just one day wouldn't hold it all.
And so this past weekend, Justin & I headed out to Rhode Island to celebrate with them over the course of two days by the water! Which was still barely enough to hold all the love, laughter, hugs held tightly, hearts full of gratitude and happy dances at the altar that these two had as they promised forever. Twice. :)
Day 1 was a daytime ceremony & reception at J's parents' home overlooking a boat-dotted bay. The girls (which are seriously, some of my favorite bridesmaids EVER!) got ready upstairs & the boys were down in the boathouse. And when it came time to say their vows, they did it standing on the foundation of the original house that was on the property. And the foundation of two sets of parents who have taught them how to love over the long haul, show kindness, be grateful, and build a life together from the ground up.
Meg & J, there are just no words for how much we adore the both of you! Thank you SO much for bringing us in as not just your photographers, but your friends....and then treating us like we were part of the family. You are two of the kindest hearts I've ever met, and the unabashed joy you two have from just being around each other infects everyone around you. I guess it's a good things you guys are both doctors! (See what I did there? :)
Today we are kicking the week off right with Jamie & Ryan's gorgeous Kennebunkport, Maine wedding full of all things boats, blues & golds.
These two got married right on the water on a day full of sunshine, ocean breezes, and love all around. Surrounded by all the people they love most in this world, including their own baby girl, these two promised forever the way that only they could: without doubt, without question, and with all the certainty that comes from finding your soul mate. It was a day of laughter, and dancing, and love. All with the breathtaking Maine coastline as a backdrop.
In short, it was a day you just want to live over and over again.
Jamie & Ryan, we love you guys to the moon & back! We hope these pictures will help you do just that.
So that was supposed to say "good morning friends," but it's taken me all morning to finally get these guys narrowed down enough to make it into one post. And once you see their wedding, I know you'll understand why.
That's because these guys from the beginning, from the biggest over-arching theme to the smallest detail, were determined to put together a day that was so them. To not worry about what the "rules" say, but instead to write their own. And from their food truck reception (complete with the burrito cart that started it all their Freshmen year at Yale!) to the surprise first dance to the incredible paper suite all of which Sarah painstakingly made herself....these guys nailed it!
Theirs was a day of honesty and real emotion. A day where the details were amazing, but the love was even better. It was a day of laughter. And saying what you need to say. And being best friends. Who understand that the perfect day would not be complete without a polka dot veil and a grilled cheese sandwich.
In short, it was the sort of day that reminds us why we're in this in the first place.
And for that we are forever grateful.
Sarah & Dan we LOVE you guys! (like love LOVE you). Love like this always...the world needs more best friends like you.
So much love,

Today we have the gorgeous NYC City Hall elopement wedding of Cat & Mike to kick your week off right! We met up with these guys in the City & were lucky enough to get to go right into the courthouse with them to document their ceremony, and then a great portrait session after! The second we showed up and I saw Mike in his black bow tie & Cat in her classic red lips...I knew these guys were the couple for us! We had such an amazing time with them & now it is my honor to share their wedding pictures with all of you! We hope you enjoy!
