Frelinghuysen Arboretum Wedding: Nathalie & Tim

She sat in a pin tucked chair with her chin in her mama's hands....and she cried. Happy tears. I can't believe it's here tears. Whew, this is all happening really really fast tears. But above all, they were today I'm marrying the love of my life tears. In a room in her childhood home, she cried like she loves: without holding back. And when the tears were dry, what remained was love.

He stood at the front of an aisle as she walked in on her mama's arm....and he smiled. A happy smile. An I can't believe she's really mine smile. A whew, I want her to get to me really really fast smile. But above all, it was an I'm about to marry the love of my life smile. In front of their friends and family, he smiled like he loves: with his whole heart. And when the vows were said and the party was over....

What remained was love.

Married: Nathalie & Tim

Nathalie & Tim were married on a perfect October day with just the right mix of soft, gray skies and golden light peeking out at the very end. It was a day when Nathalie was missing her dad very much, and yet love remained. His love for her, their families love for the both of them, and her love for Tim. Love was the theme of the day. And we were just the ones lucky enough to be there to capture it. Nathalie & Tim we are so grateful for you guys and your friendship and our mutual love of quoting Will Ferrel movies. I'm so thankful for Tiffany & Frank and Francie & Chris for introducing us to you, and I feel like one big reunion dinner is in order for all of us once things settle down! :) My hope is that you will love like this always....with your whole heart, without holding back, and always with a love that remains.

So much love,
J&M

Fenimore Museum Wedding: Sarah & David

She stood framed by light and tried to peer just beyond the window's ledge. She was looking for him. A gray upstate New York sky bowed in humbled reverence to the reds and oranges of a season just starting to catch fire. Of a sea of color about to set blaze. She checked her veil in the mirror just one more time, and then she took a deep breath and smiled. It was as if the color itself was there just for the two of them. As if the whole world had decided to burn a little brighter. And when she thought about their day and she thought about him, she could already feel the warmth on her face. Because wherever he was, she was home.

He stood framed by dark jackets and tried to peer just beyond the property's edge. He was looking for her. A group gathered together in upstate New York bowed in humble reverence to the love and hope of a life together just starting to catch fire. And a sea of faces stood ready to witness it all. He checked his watch just one more time, and then he took a deep breath and smiled. It was as if smiles themselves had been invented for just the two of them. As if the whole world for one day had decided to shine a little brighter. And when he thought about their lives together, he thought about her. And he could already feel the warmth on his face.

Because wherever she was, he was home.

Married: Sarah & David

Sarah & Dave were married at the Fenimore Museum in Cooperstown, NY, surrounded by a pantone of Fall color and everyone in the world they hold dearest to them. It was a day of laughing and dancing and raising a glass to toast to life's big moments...and the small ones. It was love in its purest form. The day was made even more perfect thanks to the incredible efforts of event stylist Tori Samuel, who completely transformed the Farmer's Museum for the evening reception. Sarah & Dave, there are truly no words to thank you for the honor of having us there with you as you started a life together. We adore both of you! My hope is that you will love like this always....surrounded by warmth and with the kind of love that sets the whole world on fire.

So much love,
J&M

Candlelight Farms Wedding: Jenn & Mark

When the ribbons & bows were tied and the flowers were fastened in her hair, she thought about him. When the seconds turned into minutes and the hour was fast upon them, she thought about him. She thought about the years together, and the years ahead. About all the laughs that had been laughed, and the laughter that was still to be. She thought about their inside jokes, the punchlines that don't even need to be spoken, and the space in the curve of his hand where hers just always....fits. She thought about the future, she thought about the past. And she thought about this very moment right now. And then she finally realized what they all have in common. That when she thinks about all the best things that have happened in her life...she thinks about him.

When the door was opened and the footsteps fell, he thought about her. When the seconds turned into hours and minutes dragged on for what felt like eternity, he thought about her. He thought about the years together, and the years ahead. About all quiet smiles that had been shared, and the smiles that were still yet to be. He thought about how she would look when he finally saw her, and the words that don't even need to be spoken. And how the space between them would just disappear, because his life with her always just....fits. For just a second he didn't think about the future, or think about the past. He just focused on this very moment right here. Because he already knew, that what all their days together would have in common was this and the happiness he felt. And when he thought about his whole lifetime....he thought about her.

Married: Jenn & Mark

Jenn & Mark were married on a day that ranged from bright sunshine to full out rain, and every possibility in between. But just like the two people I knew them to be, they basked in the sunshine, and danced in the rain. And surrounded by all the people they love most in this world, they kicked off a life together right. With love and laughter and celebrating come what may. Jenn is actually one half of the wedding blogging duo, The Weddingistas, along with her best friend and Maid of Honor Becky. So there was no doubt in my mind that this wedding was going to be one for the record books, and these guys did not disappoint. No detail was overlooked, and yet not a single thing was added that didn't feel like Jenn & Mark. That is a hard task to pull off indeed, and these guys did it flawlessly. J&M, you are our initial soul mates, our foodie friends, and two of the coolest people we've ever met. There are no words to thank you for the honor of having us there with you on Day 1. My hope is that you will love like this through all the days ahead.....feeding each other, laughing at inside jokes where only you two know the punchlines, and always dancing in the rain.

So much love,
J&M

Tyrone Farms Wedding: Stephanie & Hondo

She stood in lace and walked in beauty. It was a light that started from within. When she smiled, she smiled with her whole heart. And caused even the golden filtered sunlight through the sheer panel curtains to turn to shade, humbled by the comparison. Later there would be shades of red, and shadows lit up by twinkle lights. Which would dance and spin between them as they stood out under a night sky. But for now, it was all light and love and beauty. And hers was a light that started from within.

He stood in place and waited on beauty. For a light that started from within. When she smiled, it was a smile that could change his whole heart. And cause even their best of memories made separately to turn to fade, humbled by the comparison. Later there would be memories of a whole life, together, as if they were scenes lit up by twinkle lights. Which would dance and spin between them, not sure where one's memory ended and the other began. But for now, all he could see was light and love and beauty. Because hers....

Hers was a light that started from within.

Married: Stephanie & Hondo

Steph & Hondo were married at Tyrone Farms on a day that was filled with light and love and beauty. And friends. More good friends than any two people could ever hope for. And the family who made them who they are. Together with those friends and family, Steph & Hondo took two lives and made them one. Where somehow one seemed far greater than two had ever been alone. Steph is actually a producer for Say Yes to the Dress, so she's seen a lot when it comes to weddings. When it came to making sure that their day was true to them, it was made extra-perfect thanks to the above and beyond hard work of Talia Fedorowich and the whole team at Sixpence Events. Those ladies seriously never cease to blow me away, and Steph & Hondo's perfect fall day was no exception. Just wait til you see the delicious (literally!) details they put together. S&H it was an honor that we won't soon forget to be there with you on day one. My hope is that you will still be holding on to these pictures on your 10,000th day, and remembering that for you...it all started with love. We can't thank you enough for everything!

So much love,
J&M
