I know it's probably not the date we would normally plan....but I gotta say. Because it needs to be said. That there is still something pretty awesome about being at a wedding with you. I think it's in the way we still sway to the opening riff of Don't Stop Believing and how you squeeze my hand when you think no one is looking. It's splitting the last crumbs of wedding cake that Julia arm wrestled from the caterer for us, while we watch the cards download. It's hopping into the photo booth for just three shots, and knowing that we will keep them forever.
Because in that moment, we were happy. So, so happy.
And I just gotta say, because I think it needs to be said....I'm so lucky to have you as my wedding date for life.
She stood at the top of the stairs and looked out at the world below. Her world. Her everything. Everything and everyone that mattered in this life were just a few steps away, and she was more than ready to start that walk. But for just one second, just in this moment, she just wanted to stop... everything. And breathe. Breathe in this life. Breathe in this love. Breathe in the minutes that insisted on blurring by too fast. To hold on to them just a little longer. To feel them and see them so she could believe that they were real. Yea...she just needed one more second of that. And then she'd be ready to start that walk.
He stood in his place at the front of the aisle and saw only the world in front of him. His world. His everything. She was everything and everyone that mattered in this moment and she was just a few steps away. He held her hand as the preacher talked about life for the long haul, and he knew he was more than ready to start that walk. But as the words rang husband and wife, for just one second, just in that moment, he just wanted to stop....everything. So they could breathe. Together. Breathe in this life. Breathe in this love. Breathe in these moments that insisted on going by too fast. He wanted to stay right there in that second. So he could hold on to her just a little longer. To feel her and see her so he could believe that this was real. Yea, he just needed one more second of that. And then he'd be ready to start that walk.
Married: Nichole & Steve
Nichole & Steve were married this past Saturday at the Society Room in Hartford, surrounded by all the things that make life sweeter. Like light, love and laughter. And people who see them each for who they are but also know that they are even better. Together. And at the end of the night as they swayed to the last song, they were surrounded still. By a room full of those same people pouring out their best hopes for a life filled with steps, each better than the last. Nichole & Steve, that is what we wish for you. We hope that you will love like this always. And that you always take the time to soak in every step.
So much love,
J&M
All my favorite girls were there for this one. Oh Priscilla & Kate, how I love thee.
Many thanks to Fleur de Lys for Nichole's bouquet. It was fabulous to the nth degree.
Nichole, Nichole, Nichole. You set my heart to flutter. The 1940s never had it so good.
Nichole you are BEAUTIFUL!!
GAH! That is not a noise I make too often in everyday life....but when I saw these pictures I actually Gah'd out loud. It's like GOL instead of LOL. Go with it.

Mr. & Mrs!!
Stay tuned for Part II coming to a blog near you very soon!
That's it. No words or in depth explanation. We just {heart} Betty White.
We've been watching a lot of Hot in Cleveland on apple tv, and we fell in love with her all over again. Plus, I just love when she makes Justin laugh. :) Word.
Ok, so maybe it's all those Law & Order episodes I've watched throughout the years with Brisco & Green. Maybe it's listening to way too much Jay-Z. Maybe it's just the fact that we're about to hop in the car and make our way 95 South for the next stop for Spread the Love 2011 (aka The Just Getting Started Tour!!).
But whatever it is, I am in a Neeeeew York state of mind.
And I just couldn't resist sharing one more sneak peek into Thursday's Walk Through with you guys. Mostly because Jim & Ravyn Stadick, who helped out with the paper in both Charlotte & NYC, are totally rockin our world with this one! i can't wait to show you the entire paper suite they've created for our Newsies & Knickerbockers!
But until then we're off to New York. Because y'know, if we can make it there... we can make it anywhere.
