Married: Rebecca & Dan at The Riverhouse

She sat and sipped champagne as the last curls were pinned into place and a vintage headband was tied around her head. With a double bow. She looked up into a hand mirror and stared back at her reflection. And in that second she saw herself for the first time. The last time. That moment in time that she would remember for the rest of her life. She took a deep breath...and she smiled.

She stood with her mom as the last strings were thread into place and her vintage lace dress was tied up. With a double bow. She looked over at the mirror on the wall and stared back at her reflection. And in that second she saw herself for the first time. The last time. That moment in time that she would remember for the rest of her life. She took a deep breath...and she smiled.

She stood with him as the last strings floated through the air and their lives were about to be tied together. Forever. With a double bow. She looked up at him and stared back at her reflection in his eyes. And in that second she saw herself for the first time. The last time. That moment in time that she would remember for the rest of her life.

She took a deep breath...and she smiled.

Married: Rebecca & Dan

Rebecca & Dan were our first wedding the weekend of our triple header. And they got a beautiful day. The kind of day I know they'll remember the rest of their life! R&D I hope you guys had an awesome time in the Mediterranean! We can't wait to hang out again!

And now....the details! Rebecca's beautiful headband from The White Dress by the Shore (J's shot)

Her Miss Dior Cherie perfume and jacket, also from The White Dress by the Shore. (Both mine)

J grabbed both of these detail shots of the shoes and bouquet in this awesome white chair in Rebecca's mom's house. The absolutely BEAUTIFUL flowers were all done by Fleur de Lys.

More shoes and the stunning dress from The White Dress. (Both mine)

My shot of the flower girl's dress beside Rebecca's

This shot was actually Rebecca's mom's idea, and it turned out so cool that we definitely had to post it! (My shot)

Justin's shot of Rebecca & Dan right after the ceremony. We always grab our couples the second after they walk down the aisle and let them go off by themselves and really soak in being married while we shoot with long lenses. You just can't get moments like this back!

The cutie petutie kiddos!! Love that face he's making on the right. Both of these are J's!

Workin' Hard!!

We are chuggin' away on getting all of our wedding shoots up (on deck...Rebecca & Dan!!), but in the mean time I thought I'd post up this shot I grabbed of Justin & our good friend David Burke workin' hard at our engagement shoot out on Block Island last week. Our very cool couple, Stacey & Charlie, got us all mopeds to zip around the island on...and this is Justin & David B grabbing some fun motion blur shots.

**Don't worry, this particular set up was done at the end of the island far away from all other cars and people. And helmets were worn at all other times. Safety first!!

***Also, we have some WINNERS to announce!

First up, congratulations to Shannon who totally rocked out our Dwight bobble head contest!! She will win her very own Dwight bobble head and bragging rights until the next season! :)

And second, a HUGE congrats to Michelle Sidles who was just our lucky number 4,000th commenter!! She will win a $40 (ahem, or 4,000 pennies!! :) gift card to iTunes to download all her music for the summer! My first recommendation: I know you want me by Pitbull!! :)

And while I'm at it, a big thank you to all of you who stop by to share your lives with us every day and have become such wonderful friends in the process. We love and appreciate all of you!! Seriously, so much!

Justin & Mary Brides: Killer Details!

And now, as promised, the delicious details post from Irena & Danny's Miami wedding at The Deering Estate!!

Irena was an avid Style Me Pretty bride (that's actually how she found us...a HUGE thanks to the SMP ladies for that!!) and so the details were very important to her. And let me tell you...she ROCKED it. Along with her planner, Tamara Cohen of TC Event Design , they created some of the most personal and beautiful details we have ever seen. EVER!

As photographers, Justin & I just adore it when a couple goes out of their way to personalize a wedding and of course give us some mega eye candy to play with. I think the details are one of the best ways to take a wedding from paint by numbers and really make it your own, and at the same time do something for your guests that they will be talking about for a long time after the wedding. And I don't think anyone who was at Irena & Danny's wedding will be forgetting these details anytime soon!

First up, Irena handmade these flowers for each of her bridesmaids. Some of them wore them in their hair, some on their wrists, etc. And it made for a very cool look! (My shot)

Carlos grabbed these shots of the ceremony. The chuppah was incredible, especially when that Miami breeze caught the fabric. And there were also parasols for all the guests during the ceremony.

The water and the handmade programs (Carlos's shots)

And these two are also from Carlos:

Justin grabbed this shot of the ringbearer during the ceremony. I LOVE the little bird's nest for the pillow!!

The set up for cocktail hour. Love these linens and especially love tying the ribbon around the middle! (My shots)

More shots of the parasols (both mine):

And Carlos grabbed these shots of the "Wish Table" and the personalized m&m's.

As well as this one of the ring bearer at the card table

These almonds were actually given out at the end of the night and Irena chose them because that's what Danny's last name means. (mine)

And these two of the almonds and the table names, Justin's on the left, mine on the right

This is my shot from the wish table. Guests could write their wishes for the bride & groom and then hang them on the branch centerpiece.

The beautiful cake created by We Take the Cake!! J's shot on the left, mine on the right.

The bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful! (My shot)

Table names (My shot):

And both of these are mine.

J's shot on the left. mine on the right.

J grabbed these two cool shots of the stemware. This one...

and this one.

And Carlos grabbed the shot of the chairs on the left while I grabbed the one on the right.

And these next two.

LOVE this shot that Carlos got of the whole scene, and I especially love that Irena & Danny did a long center table. Very cool!

My shot:

And the next two as well!

DE-licious!!!

Stuff we Love: Lush and Joy Moody!!

Alright! Whew, we're back from another whirlwind weekend! Like we said, we had the awesome wedding of Stephanie & Greg on Saturday (and it was AWESOME!) and then it was down to New Jersey for the two day wedding of Erin & Brendon over Memorial Day.

For that one, we were so lucky to have our good friend (and phenomenal photographer) Joy Moody along to help us out. Joy is amazing and one of the most thoughtful people I know. She also just so happens to share an addiction that I have to Lush bath products. They are all handmade and smell so good you could eat them. Believe me, I've tried.

I {heart} them!

Seriously, I could blow our whole house fund there. (Don't worry Papa D....if you're reading this, I wouldn't really!) One of my favorite things from there is the Ocean Salt Scrub. And you can check it out HERE!!

And BECAUSE Joy is so thoughtful and amazing, she showed up with a whole goodie bag of bath bombs and soap for my birthday. How awesome is that?!

Here are just a few:

And here we are with Miss Moody herself, rockin' out at the reception. Stay tuned as we get ourselves back on the bloggin' bandwagon....Part III of Irena & Danny will be up VERY shortly.
