There are challenges, and sometimes smiles through gritted teeth, and entire husband & wife conversations that take place only with our eyes. Two blinks means you better get the heck out of my shot. So sometimes it looks like we're tapping out Faulkner novels in morse code with our eye lids.
Plus, I always steal his extra scalloped potatoes from the vendor meal.
But at the end of the night, we get to crawl into the car together. And go through the slideshow high-fiving each other's shots once we get back home.
So yea he'll tell you. It's not always easy.
But I hope he would also say, it is always worth it.
