He stood at the top of the stairwell among columns of white, a pillar of quiet and strength in his own right. The hot Florida sun pressed down on him, weighed heavily, and he closed his eyes against it in defense. Or maybe, just maybe...this was just him trying to hold on to this moment a little longer. To burn this feeling into his mind, so he could remember it always. She climbed the stairs step by step, a rush of ruffles behind her. But she didn't once falter, never once looked down. Because she knew, as she'd always known, that each step was bringing her closer to him.

The warm Florida sun poured in from the window behind them, shined brightly, and he closed the space between them out of instinct. She spoke her vows step by step, a rush of emotions behind them. And as she did, she didn't once falter, never once looked down. Because she knew, a she'd always known....

Married: Tessa & Mathias
Tessa & Mathias were married on the perfect, hot Floridian summer day at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami. The whole day was orchestrated with tireless care and flawless attention to detail by the ever-amazing Robyn Baltuch of TC Event Design and her incredible team. And when you add in the insane talents of Jennifer Gilbert Cohen and her floral team at Xquisite Events, it made for one of the most amazing events we've ever had the honor to photograph. But even if all of that weren't the case, if you just took it down to the couple involved and their friends and family....that would still be true. Mathias was a first round draft pick to be a linebacker for the NY Giants , so yea, he's kind of a big deal. :) But at the end of the night, he & Tessa both came up to us, hugged us, and thanked us profusely for being there. And made us feel like we were just friends they had invited to the wedding. I think that speaks volumes about the kind of hearts these two have, and the kind of life they're going to build together. Tessa & Mathias, my hope for you is that you will love like this always. Fully. Generously. Kindly. And with hearts big enough to include every one you meet. It was, truly, our honor.

**Let's just go ahead and get this out of the way right now shall we: Tessa is a dead ringer for Beyonce. Right?? I mean it's kind of crazy!. And I kind of had to constantly remind myself that it wasn't actually her and restrain myself from singing All the Single Ladies to her all day. But I just think that means if Beyonce & JayZ ever do decide to do a vow renewal....we'll be ready! :) |
