They stood at the top of the stairs and talked about album covers. Debated the merits of this one or that one and how the song lyrics go. And when the words ran out, when they just wouldn't come anymore... they sang to each other to keep from crying. When he walked her down the aisle, he walked just a little slower. Silently gave thanks that the end wasn't any closer. And later that night when they danced together, sang to each other just a little more, he realized...every song was always for her.
They stood at the edge of the world together and talked about everything. Debated the merits of this ice cream or that ice cream, and how chocolate really is the best kind of milk there is. And when the words ran out, and there was no more to say...they just held on to each other, knowing that they had a lifetime to continue the debate. When he walked her back to the house, he walked just a little slower. Silently gave thanks that this was just the beginning. And later that night when she asked him to dance together just one more time, there wasn't a doubt in his mind that there would be more...
Because every song was always for her.
Married: Spring & Silas
Spring & Silas were married on the most perfect of all perfect days at French's Point in Stockton Springs, Maine. And I can't think of two more amazing people that kind of day could happen for. Spring is a wedding photographer herself, who became our friend. Then she became our bride, and we are now so lucky to consider her one of our best friends. I still remember the first day we met her, sitting in the Fore Street restaurant in Portland talking about her vast knowledge of wine. Never possibly knowing that just few short years later, we would be the ones there with her as she was getting ready to walk down the aisle. That we would be the ones shooting her first dance, and that *I* would be the one with tears streaming down my face while we did. Spring, a few of my pictures may or may not have been just a little blurry for that very reason....it's ok, Justin & Julia held it together. :) And as amazing as Spring is, Silas is in every way her equal & perfect counterpart. He quietly fills in the gaps, and brings a calm and comfort all around her. And just spending a little time with the two of them together, it's easy to see that Spring is never more herself than when Silas is by her side. S&S we love you guys....like love LOVE you guys!! You are some of the best friends we could ever ask for, and your love just makes my heart happy. My hope is that you will love like this always....but somehow, I already know you will.
